8 Years Of Marriage!

Today is our eight year wedding anniversary! To celebrate eight happy years, I will be listing eight things I love about my husband!! :)

  1. He is very successful at his job. He went from salesman to management within a short period of time and it took alot of hard work and dedication.

  2. He is an awesome father. He loves his boys so much and everyday when he gets home he runs to their room to give them hugs and kisses.

  3. He started with nothing. He was far from a trust fund baby and always struggled as a teenager to pay for things that other teens took for granted.

  4. He is full of compassion and understanding. He is always the first person to help someone else and he has never belittled me or even scolded me if I had a bad day and didn't even leave the bed.

  5. He is a kid at heart. He gets so excited about the little things and it's hard not to laugh.

  6. He helped me heal from my past. When he married me, I carried alot of emotional baggage and he has helped me work through it all and never walked away.

  7. He lets me be me. He likes the fact that i'm bossy and talkative and a crazy shopper - and he has never asked me to change who I am.

  8. He is my husband! I love him just because he is who he is. I cannot imagine life without anyone else!! I love you baby boy :) Here's to 100 more anniversaries!!

Fourth Of July 2011

We had a wonderful fourth of July! It's a great day to celebrate freedom!!

I hope all of you remembered to tell your children why we celebrate :)

We went to my hometown, Kingston, and they had alot of festivities going on downtown. One was that they were teaching everyone Zumba and my son decided he wanted to join in. As you can probably tell, my son has no fear and he loves to sing and dance - and loves to be the center of the attention :)
The boys got to spend some quality time with their daddy...

We reserved a VIP table at Redbones On The River and then went to the parking lot for a perfect view of the Fireworks. Most of our time was spent on the second level at our tiny, very expensive table - ha! We won't make that mistake again.

If you look really close you can see my darling five year old on stage with the band, The Riversharks. So, like I said, he has to be the center of attention! ;)

My granny asked us to stop by after the fireworks were over and we're always looking for a reason to go get some sweet hugs from granny and papaw Wilson - the two most inspirational people I know. This picture is worth a million words. My grandmother is battling multiple myeloma and has hospice care and through all of that, my grandfather has battled his own health issues, mainly from the wear down of caring for his wife. I think that is a great testament to what a Christian husband he is and what a Godly man I can say my grandfather is. There are so many men who could take lessons from him about what it means to be someone's husband!

I had a wonderful holiday! I felt better than I have in awhile and spending time with my family just helped me to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Happy Fourth Of July to all of my blogger babes :)

Fireworks and Swimming!

We (really my husband) decided to have a get together to celebrate the fourth of July. I wish I could say I was enjoying the fun, but really I spent most of the night in my bed thanks to my depression. I still managed to get a few good pictures of our great friends and family having some good fun and food!

These are our friends, Jason and Ashley. They are some amazing friends to have. They have gone above and beyond for our kids and for us and we are thankful they are a part of our life. Jason says Ashley is a bad babysitter though - ha!
Babies like these are the reason I have such bad baby fever. This is Lyric Authier and he is a heartbreaker! He decided to stick to my leg since the fireworks were so loud - and I enjoyed it :)

Christian, Chelsea, Blaze, and Ace along with all the big boys set off so many fireworks that we could not see through the smoke. The older kids had NO FEAR when it came to fireworks!

And, as always, I had the food and drink table ready to go :) There is always plenty left over, but I don't want anyone to go hungry! I like for everything to have it's place and in five minutes, they destroy it - ha! But, I enjoy having company and seeing my kids making memories!

Saved this picture for last... those smiles are priceless and they are the reason I breathe!

Rock The Vote!

On our blog you will notice something a little different, two little name polls for names for boys and girls. Since we have decided to start trying to get pregnant again, we are fighting about every single name ever. Since we have the possibility of having twins, we already do have twin names if they are girl/girl or girl/boy - if they are boy/boy, we will use two names from the blog list - so I demand you go vote! :) and when voting, please think about the fact that a) our kids have really unique names and b) if it is a boy, they will not go by their first name and if it's a girl, she already has a nickname! Thanks!!

I promise lots of pictures for the next post!! Lots of things going on this week to share..... :) Have a safe and happy FOURTH! Thank you to everyone who died for our freedom or are still fighting today!

Five Rooms I Love - Basements

If I had a basement, I would want something multi functional. I love the colors and the feel above. I chose this basement because it truly looks like somewhere you could go relax. You will see alot of different types of basements - I wanted to include different types for different people. If we buy a home in the future with a basement, it will be a "funcave" where the kids can make a mess and DJ can have all his guys over to watch the game. I would love to have some type of corner where the kids can color or read. I would also love to have a dartboard (random fact - I love playing darts!) and a pool table plus a huge tv for the games. I love the fireplace in this picture too, that was the number one reason this room made my top 5!
This is what I had in mind for a reading/coloring corner. I want just an area where the kids can play while daddy is hanging out with his friends... or you know when you have friends over and they have kids, you need a place for them to play that doesn't mess up your house! ha!! I love the color and just the use of the small space.

This is a "man cave" DJ would really love. I would love to be able to splurge financially and have a half kitchen downstairs. I also love how clean it looks. I don't know that I would spend the money and put a dishwasher down there, but a fridge would be really nice.

This is a play area a little girl dreams of! It could also be used for a boy with a few small changes. It would be a great idea for a mom with three plus children at home that needed a place to teach them and also keep them entertained. This could actually make a good space for a home daycare too... but for now, we will just judge it as a huge playroom. I wonder what the rest of the room looks like because my biggest downfall to this room is the usage of space. I love the little bit of red mixed in and the beautiful blue on the walls. I just love it, well most of it...

The art on this wall did it for me! This is the perfect idea that I intend to steal in a big big way. I want to spell out I love you with our hands and have it hanging in our play area OR in our new master bedroom - and yes, I am talking about our "new house" and no I haven't bought a new house, but there is an announcement coming soon - as early as today! Anyways, I love the rug and the color of the couch. The color scheme of the room makes it super easy to find furniture or decor to match and not have to worry if it will all be matchy matchy! I love this room.

I did basements today because nobody commented on what room to do next and I know that some of you are dying for me to pick a room of YOUR choice so I figured I will give you all ONE MORE DAY to vote.. but after that, i'm doing all my favorite rooms! :) I also plan to have a "silent auction" for a few of the kids items so Blaze can buy new stuff .. ha! No seriously, I hate yard sales so we're going to overtake this blog with a silent auction.. and no offer is too low so come on ladies, I know you want some stuff!
