Promised To Share A Little....

Above: the start of master bedroom
Above: laundry room (still need ideas for this room!)

Above : dining area (we decided not to use the formal dining room.)

Above: boys closet ... I worked so unbelievably hard on this!

Above: Start of boys' bedroom (still deciding if and when we should paint)

As you can see, I have been working sooo hard,
but there is still soooo much to be done!

I promised that I would share some pictures of the progress on the house this week, but I really wanted to wait until the rooms had at least been painted. The painter that we hired also has fifteen other jobs so it is making it hard to get things done at my speed. You can tell what I am trying to do in these pictures and I wanted to show you all the reason I have not been blogging!

Not to mention, blogging takes up time that my husband and I could be "cuddling". We are trying to have a baby, you know? :)

Show Us Your Life: Living Room

Before:

After:

I am little late, but I am participating in the "show us your life" tour over at Kelly's Korner. Here are the before and after photos of the living room. I think we have made a tremendous difference just in the colors of the walls and the curtains. I still have alot of plans for this room, but this is a great way to start after only one month of renovations!

We're Finally In The House!!

So, Yes I know it's been awhile.. but we are finally in the house.
My dad came in for a visit so that I could get some stuff done and the boys also
begged me to let them order wrestling on pay per view.
We went trick or treating in our neighborhood this year instead of local churches.
We had a great time! The boys decided they wanted to be Rey Mysterio and John Cena.

This is what has occupied the majority of my life lately.
Box after box after box... it's fun but stressful at the same time.

The boys did talk me into joining the Disney Movie Club.
The movies just happened to get here the day we moved and since we had no cable,
it was right on time!
My friend Miranda and I also took all of our kids to the rodeo this year.
The kids had a blast and even entered a few contests. We look forward to rodeo
time each year.
So, that is how the last four weeks of my life have went. Very busy, but oh what a blessing!
I am looking forward to posting some before's and after's of the house very soon!

Master Bedroom Idea

I am trying to figure out a way to really make my master
bedroom stand out and possibly do something to move
the eye up to the ceiling...

Do you all think that the ceilings would look good
with something similiar to the picture below?
I have a had a few people say that this will bring the eye upward and
make the ceilings and the room itsself look larger.

What do you all think I should do with the ceiling? I could also paint
the middle of the ceiling to draw the eye even farther up, but
it will be a few months before I change the light fixtures and ceiling fans.

Just A Quick Question...

Has anyone grabbed my button and added to their blog? If so, let me know so I can add YOUR button to my blog. I'm all about sharing the love. Thanks. :)

Ps - Moving day is TOMMORROW. Can you believe it?? I'm sure you all are like, "okay Ashley, it's getting old already!" ha!
