I need some advice.

I am really wanting to start a mom's group or at least join one. Both of my kids are in school full time starting one week from monday. Although I have plenty or work to do around the house and such, I like to at least get out of the house once a week to make other friends. We do not have a nearby mops so I joined a site called Meeting Moms (you can check it out at http://sahm.meetup.com/ ) and the nearest moms group listed is 73 miles away. So, my question to my readers is Have you ever joined a mom's group and was it a good or bad experience? Would you ever take on making your own group? Do you ever go to weekly bible study for moms that is during school hours? If anyone has any advice or can direct me to a mom's group nearby, I would love to hear from you!
